From Mrs. Kosak
GREAT JOB - GREAT EFFORT - GREAT OUTCOME!!!
CONGRATULATIONS ON A WINNING SEASON!
I want to thank all the LCXC team members for allowing me to run with you this past summer and fall. I am glad I got to know each of you hard working, talented, young athletes and the "old guys" too.
XC is an incredible sport. All who go out are given the opportunity to participate to the max of their abilities. There are no bench warmers. It is not an easy sport. It takes individual effort but yet you run as a team. You all have shown an inner strength that drove you to do your best, not give up, not slow down no matter how bad you felt. Good things do not come easy, they are earned.
I had a great time running at practices, watching meets and seeing everyone improve over time. It goes to show that if you push yourself you can achieve more than you imagined in the beginning.
Memorable Moments in 2008 for Mrs. Kosak
***Watching races and awards
***Running Fun Runs in Summer (Argh)
***Coming in behind an 8 year old boy at a Fun Run
***Getting lost with Renee at Holmes's place
***Wondering how the girls thought their snacks and drinks would be safe in the back of the Boy's van on the way to camp at White Pass.
***"The Blackberry Speech"
***Watching the boys do the "Beauty Queen"
***Running 'barefoot in the Park'
***Wondering how anyone could forget their 'SHOES'!
***Running from downtown Ridgefield in the pouring rain!
***Riding on a box in the back of the van just so I could run with the team.
***Desperately trying to keep varsity runners in site so I don't get lost
I am looking forward to an even greater season next year. See most of you then!
Thanks again. Mrs. Kosak
P.S. I'm very proud of you Kyle Kosak!
